Sophia is a director, performer, and multidisciplinary theatre artist based in Denver, Colorado. She moved around for a majority of her childhood living in multiple states and attending numerous schools, the one constant however was a love of art. Whatever the form, literature, music, painting and drawing, theatre-she was enraptured by it. This passion would later turn into a career dream and finally a career reality; as she graduated with her Bachelors degree in Theatre arts in 2023 and began her professional career. 

Outside of her job she is an avid reader, a mom of two adorable Pittbulls and a cat, a lover of cooking and baking, enjoys video games and horror and starts every morning with a homemade matcha latte. She loves to tend to her backyard garden, spend time with her partner and friends, and has listened to an alarming amount of true crime content, but she promises she is not at all scary!

As a chronically ill, queer and mixed race woman, she wants to take a moment to recognize the challenges that many artists experience daily. Whether it be access needs, racial discrimination, gender inequalities, anti lgbtq+ rhetoric; the world is often anything but welcoming and accommodating, therefore it is an integral part of Sophia’s artistry that she works to curate a safe, welcoming, and brave space for everyone around. It is fundamental to her practice that she is constantly working to build a community that is structured on equitability, respect, and a desire to always listen, learn, and grow.
